Hey! I’m Alex and I love history. I love it because it’s a “what you missed” recap of what came before us. It’s so important and beautiful to learn why everything is as it is, how it came to be and why it all fits. I truly struggled to remember dates and to understand connections when I was doing GCSE history but with support I smashed it! This lead to me being able to stick with it through Alevel and up to my dream university

Having gotten top grades in both GCSE and Alevel by doing this, my lessons focus on flashcards and active recall, whilst encouraging and supporting students to find their own method of understanding their topics. I focus on this to ensure the student can step away from my help with reliable resources and methods they came up with themselves! This leads to self belief and a newfound ability to problem solve when struggling with History.
