About Maria
I have been a statistics instructor for more that 12 years at a University level, teaching graduate students from sciences backgrounds so that they can learn the tool that will make them great researchers and data analyzers. My main goal is that students feel comfortable with statistics and learn to resolve exercises by themselves. Of course, I will give hints and help through the process, but never will give the answer before the student have tried.

The main objective of statistics is to gather information that is reliable, and from it, obtain useful and meaninful information about it and make inferences by applying different summarizing techniques, including summary measurements, comparisons, predictions or graphical data. Whatever the subject of studying, I first want my students to learn and clarify the concepts and then practice their applications. The last step is to be able to analyze data sets for a given phenomenon in the social and biological sciences.
