About Pierre
With over 5 years of tutoring experience, I teach Saxophone to school students, college learners, and working professionals. I believe that learning music should be enjoyable, structured, and easy to understand.
My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding before performance. Instead of rushing through lessons, I ensure students clearly understand techniques and musical concepts. I use real-life examples, guided practice, and listening exercises to make learning more effective.
I value clear communication, patience, and honesty in my teaching approach. I take time to explain lessons in simple English and encourage students to practise regularly. Integrity and commitment are important values I pass on to my students.
My lessons cover posture, breathing techniques, tone control, finger coordination, rhythm accuracy, scales, and music reading. I also support students with exam preparation, stage performance skills, and confidence building.
Several of my students have shown consistent improvement and successfully performed in programmes and assessments. Helping students grow musically and personally is the most rewarding part of my teaching journey.

My saxophone teaching methodology focuses on clarity, consistency, and real-world application. I believe music learning should be practical and enjoyable. I use real-life musical examples and case studies to show how saxophone techniques are used in actual performances and practice sessions.
Each student is unique, so I start by understanding their learning style and musical goals. Lessons are structured but flexible. I focus on breath control, tone development, finger coordination, scales, articulation, and musical phrasing. These elements are taught step by step for steady progress.
Good communication is essential in my classes. I explain concepts in simple terms and encourage open discussion. I provide clear instructions and demonstrations so students can easily follow and practise correctly.
Integrity guides my teaching. I value honesty, commitment, and respect for music. I give fair feedback and motivate students to practise regularly. Apart from saxophone, I also teach supporting subjects such as music theory, rhythm training, ear development, and performance skills. My goal is to help students grow into confident and expressive musicians.
