About Amanda
I come from a family that loved musical theater, opera, and plays, as well as music in everyday life. I have always had a talent for hearing music and being able to reproduce the sounds. When I was 5, I could teach myself how to play simple songs on the piano and could sing any song I heard. Growing up, I took part in school choirs and drama. I had piano lessons starting at age 12 and started voice at age 15. I continued into college with fundamentals in music and with voice lessons. I went on a tour with a local music personality, Julianne Johnson, and trained with professional opera singers.

I am passionate about music reading and comprehension. I want kids, or adults, to understand what they are playing and why being able to read music matters in today’s world. I believe that being able to read music is fundamental in the musical world today, especially with AI becoming apart of our everyday lives.
