About Samvit
Hi, I’m Samvit, a Bioengineering student at UC Berkeley, a high school salutatorian, and an IB Diploma graduate with a score of 43/45, the highest in my school.
My strongest subjects are mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology. Beyond the classroom, I have led biomedical research projects, presented at national conferences, and received several academic and research awards.
Because I completed high school recently, I still remember which topics students commonly find confusing and what helped those ideas finally make sense. I combine strong subject knowledge with a patient, example-oriented, and approachable teaching style.
Students can expect punctual lessons, clear communication, honest feedback, and a comfortable environment where they can ask questions freely. I work with middle and high school students, including those taking AP, IB, honors, and other advanced courses.

My lessons are built around one goal: helping students confidently solve problems on their own rather than memorize disconnected formulas and steps. We begin by identifying exactly where the difficulty starts. I then explain the concept using clear analogies, diagrams, and step-by-step reasoning before getting the student actively involved in solving questions.
A major focus is learning how to recognize different question types. Students practice identifying the clues in a problem, deciding which concept, formula, or method applies, and understanding why that approach fits the situation. I ask students to explain their reasoning as we work, which helps uncover misunderstandings early and builds genuine confidence.
We progress from straightforward examples to unfamiliar and exam-style questions. Mistakes are not simply corrected. We examine why they happened and how to avoid them in future problems. Lessons are adapted to each student’s current level and goals, whether they are rebuilding their foundations, improving their class performance, preparing for AP, IB, or SAT Math, or seeking more challenging material.
