About Sophia
I’m a UC Berkeley graduate with a B.A. in English and a Creative Writing minor, and I’ve worked with students from TK through 12th grade in a variety of educational settings. When you work with me, you’ll get a patient, encouraging tutor who takes the time to understand how you learn best and makes challenging material feel more manageable. Whether you’re working on reading comprehension, building literacy skills, improving your writing, or trying to turn your ideas into a strong essay, I’ll meet you where you are and help you build from there. My goal is to help you feel more confident in your abilities while developing practical skills you can use independently in the classroom and beyond.

I’m a UC Berkeley graduate with a B.A. in English and a Creative Writing minor, with a passion for helping students become confident readers and writers. I have experience working with students from TK through 12th grade in school and educational settings, providing individualized academic and behavioral support.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to their individual needs, strengths, and learning style. I can help with reading comprehension, literacy development, writing, grammar, essay organization, revision, and literary analysis.
My goal is to make learning approachable and encouraging while helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to become stronger, more independent learners. If your student could benefit from personalized support, I’d love to help them reach their goals.
