About Alexander
Alex “Lex” Goumas is a dynamic and versatile music professional with 16+ years of extensive experience in the music industry, both on stage and in studio -performance and music production. He is a graduate of the famed Berklee School Of Music in Boston. He has deep roots in Funk and Jazz and also versitile in other musical styles including Rock and Pop and Electronic /Synth Bass.
Arriving NYC in late 2008 he quickly became a hired gun on bass for numerous touring bands and studio work, including national touring band, Don't Believe In Ghosts (Warner Music), Man on Earth, Josh Nelson Project, and his own band The Deep Pink.
Alex has shared the stage with many bands and artists over the years including Dr Fink (Prince and The Revolution, hard rockers Creed and RATT, pop princess Vanessa Hudgens, Indie Alt band COIN, Alex Chambers, Justin Jesso to name a few and also played for former president Barack Obama.

Learning to play rhythm and time is the important role as a bassist. So you must be able to groove and support the rest of the band along with the drummer.
In the lesson we will approach technique in both fingerstyle and thumbstyle, helping students build a solid foundation in essential bass playing methods. This approach ensures they develop a deep rhythmic feel and versatile skills adaptable to various musical genres.
Mastering the fundamental music theory of scales, arpeggios, modes will also be taught and applied to create melodic bass lines and interesting grooves over chord changes.
