About Michael
Having played countless gigs in a wide diversity of styles - jazz, afro-cuban, rock, pop, musical theater, and more - I am confident that I can tailor my lessons to the specific interests of any student. As the recipient of a BA from Berklee College of Music and a Fulbright research grant affiliated with the Franz Liszt Academy in Hungary, I have a wide perspective on music and am eager to help my students identify and accomplish their goals.

In my lessons I will work with students to identify and accomplish their musical goals. While lessons will heavily vary from individual to individual there is a foundation of instrumental technique, core music theory, and practice etiquette that I would like to impart with every student. Most importantly, I would like to work with my students to the point where they understand how to identify their own musical goals and tailor their practice time to accomplish them. Self-sufficiency is a long term goal which I believe is not stressed enough in private lessons and is a vital ambition in musical training.
