My approach to tutoring is built on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to explore and develop their skills. I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, goals, and preferred learning style, combining technical exercises with practical application through repertoire and performance practice.
Lessons typically run for 30 to 60 minutes, depending on age and focus. A standard session includes warm-ups, targeted technique work, and applying those techniques to songs or dramatic pieces. I also incorporate stagecraft, storytelling, and character development for students interested in performance.
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre from the Australian Institute of Music, with extensive training in voice, drama, and movement under leading industry professionals. While I am at the beginning of my formal teaching career, I bring strong performance experience, bilingual communication skills (English and Mandarin), and a warm, adaptable approach to working with young people and adults alike.
My lessons are suitable for students of all levels—from complete beginners to advanced performers—ages 7 and above, whether you’re preparing for an audition, building confidence, or simply learning for enjoyment.
