About Andres
My name is Andres, and I’m a bilingual student at UC Santa Cruz majoring in Biotechnology on the pre-med track. I bring a strong academic foundation and a passion for education to my tutoring sessions. Growing up speaking Spanish at home, I’ve developed not only fluency but also a deep cultural understanding of the language. Throughout high school, I regularly translated for teachers during parent meetings, which gave me real-world experience in bridging communication gaps and explaining Spanish in clear, respectful ways. In addition to my language background, I’ve also participated in research projects at the university level, which have strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and patience—skills that carry over into my tutoring. As a bilingual UCSC student, my tutoring approach focuses on building real-world communication skills and confidence in speaking Spanish.
