About Poppy
I have been tutoring biology for over 3 years, and I hold an MSc in Immunology. My teaching focuses on structure, clarity, and passion for the subject. My strongest area of interest is marine biology and oceanography. I find ocean ecosystems endlessly fascinating and love sharing that with my students. I design lessons that highlight marine life, ocean currents, and human impact on ecosystems. I make learning engaging with documentaries, case studies, and open discussion. Students explore coral reefs, the adaptations of deep-sea animals, and the complexity of marine food webs. I guide learners step by step through concepts like nutrient cycles, biodiversity, and ecological balance. I emphasize both academic success and global awareness. My teaching style adapts to exam needs as well as curiosity-driven exploration. I show learners how science connects to conservation and policy. I encourage students to see biology as a tool for understanding life and protecting it. I want them to feel inspired, not just informed. Lessons include critical thinking tasks that make biology active and engaging. My goal is to help learners gain knowledge while also developing responsibility.
