About Srijan
My name is Srijan, and I am currently a bioinformatician at UC San Diego School of Medicine. I love math and science, and I love teaching them even more. As a high schooler, I consistently did well in my math and science AP classes. I also know what high school students struggle with in their classes and why, and that is why I want to help students do better in their classes. Also known as "The Central Science", chemistry is one of the most challenging sciences to study because it straddles a macroscopic and a microscopic view of the world. Students have to think both about minuscule particles like protons and more reasonable examples that occur in day-to-day life. This is one of the big reasons why many students find chemistry challenging to study. To make chemistry easier, I bridge the gap between the two by breaking down complex concepts in small-scale examples and then teach students to use those concepts to make predictions in large-scale examples. At the end, I offer a few practice problems to test understanding. Clarification of materials performed as needed. I have 4+ years of tutoring experience, both as a high schooler and as a college student. As a result, I have learned how to keep students engaged and focused in subjects that they may find uninteresting, or are otherwise distracted. Most of my tutees end up earning strong grades and exam scores. I will help you achieve the scores you want.
