About Madison
I am a student-athlete at the University of Pennsylvania as a biology major. As a division-1 athlete at an Ivy League university, I have learned many techniques to study and understand material at a quick pace, making sure to fit study time into my busy schedule. I graduated from Los Alamitos High School with honors and was named an AP scholar with merit my senior year. Additionally, as a STEM major, I am specifically well versed in mathematics and science tutoring, though I am additionally refreshed on ELA from seminar courses I completed recently. Overall, I understand the importance of asking for help as a student. I have personally experienced the impact of a tutor with the student's best interest and understanding in mind, and I hope to be that for someone in the future.

When tutoring a student, I am truly enthusiastic and and passionate about helping my students reach their goals. What sets me apart is I aim to help the student understand the concepts instead of just memorizing them. I have found that taking things step by step, ensuring the student is really grasping the concepts is the best way to teach and study material. A typical lesson plan would begin with assessing the goals of the student and the timeline in which they aim to complete it. From there, I will create a schedule that aids the student in keeping track of their progress. I mostly tutor middle school grades and under, however, I am open to assisting in high school courses for Biology, Geometry, and Algebra.
