About Malika
Hello! I'm Malika, a second-year Biology major at UCLA interested in veterinary medicine. My love for STEM and my passion for helping others inspired me to tutor others enrolled in related subjects. My approach to teaching is tailoring each lesson to my students' needs, whether that be offering homework help, creating practice sheets, or reviewing lecture slides.

As a Biology major at UCLA, I have had to take higher level math courses related to Calculus. In order to get to the place I am currently at, I needed a good grasp on the fundamentals. Thus, I strive to help my student's develop the foundational skills they need to prepare for the more complex math courses they will take later on. I believe the best way to do this is to be patient and adaptable, so that I could instill confidence in my students along with encouraging their mathematical curiosity.
I have 2 years of prior experience in tutoring high school students in Algebra I and Algebra II/Trig both in-person and online. These sessions were 1:1, so I prefer to work with one student at a time rather than in group settings.
