About Harlow
My passion for biology began with an interest in understanding how living organisms function and adapt. This curiosity led me to earn a B.Sc in Biological Sciences, where I developed a strong foundation in life science concepts and scientific reasoning. Over the past 8 years, I have supported students in developing clear understanding and confidence in biology.
I approach teaching with patience and adaptability. Each student has unique strengths and challenges, so I tailor explanations to suit their learning style. I focus on helping students understand processes deeply rather than memorising information, which leads to stronger retention and confidence.
Outside teaching, I stay engaged with biology through reading and continued learning. Teaching biology is rewarding because I witness students grow more confident and curious. Helping learners understand life sciences in a meaningful way is a fulfilling part of my work.

Biology lessons are designed to help students understand living systems as interconnected processes rather than disconnected facts. I focus on explaining cellular functions, genetics, physiology, ecology, and evolution in a logical and engaging manner. Lessons incorporate diagrams, simplified explanations, and real-life examples that make biological processes easier to visualise and understand. Students are encouraged to ask questions and explore concepts deeply.
As learning advances, students work on interpreting diagrams, analysing biological data, and connecting mechanisms across systems. I guide learners through complex processes such as regulation, inheritance, and adaptation using structured explanation and repetition where needed. Practice questions and concept linking exercises help reinforce understanding and build long-term retention.
Biology lessons also nurture observation, curiosity, and critical thinking. Students often gain a deeper appreciation for life sciences and feel more confident discussing biological topics. My aim is to help learners develop both academic strength and genuine interest in understanding the living world.
