About Roderick
Evolution and natural selection, immunology basics, genetics and inheritance, and data analysis define my core teaching repertoire. Success in biology is often less about memorizing facts and more about embracing the boring process of small, iterative improvements. I break complex concepts down until they are almost insultingly small, then build them back up with you.
My BA in Biology from Columbia University gave me the technical foundation, but my practical experience of 6 years taught me how habits compound into results. How do you currently approach your own study habits? I push on those tiny, daily adjustments because they represent the only reliable way to earn the grades you want.

Clarity is the primary goal of our time together, so we spend most of the hour dissecting biological drawing, photosynthesis and respiration, or ecology and ecosystems. Expect to work through exam technique and practice questions until the logic of the test makers becomes obvious to you.
Concept maps shared after each lesson act as a concrete guide for your subsequent independent review sessions. These visual summaries help anchor the harder topics while ensuring you have a clear path forward.
You deserve to walk into your next exam with the total confidence that comes from knowing exactly how to handle the data on the page. We move at a pace that ensures you grasp the reasoning exams actually reward. This methodical approach is the most effective way to reach your specific testing goals.
