About Grace
I found my passion for tutoring in high school when my little siblings would need help in a science subject. Then, at college I was fortunate enough to be chosen for a Teaching Assistant position in an introductory biology lab that helps students learn basic biology concepts and lab etiquette. As a part of this job, many of the students would come when I would hold office hours for help writing up lab reports and explaining in-class exercises. At my most recent job after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Biology, I help with the camps offered at ZooAmerica where kids can learn about animals and basic biology.

My teaching method is making sure that concepts are completely understood by all students, and that students have fun learning! Science is a hard concept, and the more that people have fun with it, the easier it is to understand. I have worked with a wide range of students ranging from elementary to college level. Anytime I am tutoring, I make sure students are fully grasping the concept that I am explaining by using diagrams and real-life examples. Often times I also use various articles and real-world examples that help the students apply the knowledge that they have learned.
