I hold a BMUS in jazz performance, blue card and have taught in professional settings for over a decade. I'm currently employed as a piano instructor, ensemble conductor and choir accompanist at Cannon Hill Anglican College and Griffith Conservatory for Music.

Whether you're new to piano or an experienced player looking to expand your existing knowledge, I use a number of methods and resources to help my students achieve their goals.
Students of all ages and backgrounds are welcome. I teach face to face and utilise a multi-camera feed for online lessons for students living interstate, or wishing to cut down on commute times!

Perfect! Ben is a well organised teacher who understood my needs and met me where I was at in terms of my playing. I've had multiple online lessons with Ben and think he's a wonderful teacher. The work he set me was directly tailored to my goals and what I wanted to achieve. He has a wonderful ability to break tricky concepts down into smaller and easier to digest parts (and exercises to accompany them). Learning with him is a lot of fun!
Ben is an experienced and qualified teacher who has taught me for the past 3 years. He has a very clear and formulaic approach to teaching but is also flexible and able to deviate from a lesson plan when I wish to investigate an idea or topic further. Highly recommend.
I would highly recommend Ben as a piano teacher. He teaches in a very logical and streamlined fashion and is able to explain the same subject or concept from many different angles. We started by learning some of my favourite classical pieces and we are now are exploring the world of jazz improvisation.
