I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from Boston University. I spend much of my free time researching topics in mathematics and best practices in teaching.

My first priority as a teacher is helping my students overcome any fears or hesitations they have about math. I find it important to review fundamentals and create practice problems that are approachable at first, and then fill in the gaps to reach more rigorous goals. I have created lesson plans on Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calc 1, Statistics, and GRE prep and can adjust them to students' needs. I can also assist with homework and general skill-building in higher-level college courses.
I have taught these subjects in classrooms at charter schools for 2 years, and tutored them professionally for 1 year. I love working with students 1-on-1 and bringing in examples that are relevant to their interests.
