When I began working with Gemma I was a complete novice just beginning to get into acting; through Gemma’s help I went from not knowing anything to getting into Lamda’s 6 month foundation course 9 months later. She’s filled me with so much confidence and is really helpful and thorough when it’s time to break down the speeches we do. She also offers her space to do self tapes which is really helpful and generous. I seriously couldn’t recommend working with Gemma enough.

I got into LAMDA because of Gemma’s diligent and supportive tutoring. Gemma is in my opinion the best drama tutor in the city and I will explain why!

1. Gemma is a hugely talented actor and writer themselves, ( I saw her show at the actors centre and it was just 10/10).
2. Her experience in being on auditioning panels means she has a wealth of knowledge about audition technique.
3. Her approach to acting is easy to follow and simple yet effective, it meant when I was in my first week of drama school I didn’t feel totally lost and had a good foundation to begin my training.
4. I discovered through the process the speeches you pick are half the battle, Gemma worked with me on a few and could pick up my vibe and what actually suited me pretty quickly as well as picking a piece that was active.
5. Gemma is super friendly and just lovely but you still do the work and all our sessions were super productive.
If you couldn’t tell by now I am GEMMA NO#1 FAN, all jokes aside I am hugely grateful to her and I spent so much money and time with the wrong tutors and if anyone can not copy my mistakes I would be so happy. Book Gemma!

Having worked with Gemma as an actor, and having produced one of Gemma’s plays, I cannot recommend her highly enough. Working with her was a joy from start to finish. She is highly professional, conscientious, generous and insightful. Quite aside from that, she is one of the most talented actors and writers I know. I've worked with Gemma as an actor on a theatre production at the Park Theatre. From the rehearsal room to production, Gemma was the most calming, collaborative and playful person to be around. I couldn't help but be entirely in the moment when performing our duologues. Gemma performs with an ease that makes it so easy to connect with her. As a writer as well, her approach to text work and language is precise and instinctive. She is a total talent and any actor would have a huge amount to learn from her.
