About Sarah
BSc Psychology
MSc Mental Health Nursing (1 year completed).
Level 1 Accreditation as a CBT Practitioner (PCBT).
Currently working as an Assistant Psychologist for the NHS.
10+ years gaining experience in education, clinical work, volunteering and placements. —> All in different areas / environments, providing my with a greater knowledge and understanding the specific needs across all areas of Mental health and Learning Disabilities.
I have conducted workshops, groups, educational sessions for students, patients with MH or / and LD, and staff.
I love to discover new personalities.
Published independent research, studies and experiments to further our understanding of psychology.
Im fairly new to tutoring, but having been a student myself, and struggling with dyslexia, I understand how frustrating learning can be. Each individual has their own learning style, I know how demoralising & stressful it can be when you have to teach yourself because you don't understand the way a teacher explains something to you.

I tailor my teaching to fit your needs at a pace which suits you.
I like my sessions to be interactive, activity based and engaging, ensuring you have understoon the topice perfectly. I find the most effective way of learning and understanding is to make it real - I find it most effective to apply theory and concepts to my specific real life example or cases.
I am able to support as much or as little as required which can be discussed. Understanding, assessing and analysing your aims, goals and needs, i can design bespoke courses / lesson plans tailored to your needs. I break down pieces of work/ information into manageable chunks, offer guidance and share knowledge.
Sessions could include essay writing, exam preparation, theoretical perspectives, proof reading assignments, essays or dissertations, reparing for practice placement, legislation and policy lessons, Developing reflective practice and critical analysis skills. I also can provide reading lists or any resources I have aquired or practive assignments / exams.
