About André
Hi! I'm a Brazilian guitarist with over 15 years of experience performing and teaching styles such as choro, bossa nova, samba, and forró. I hold a degree in Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) from UNIRIO, and have studied classical guitar at the Villa-Lobos School of Music, as well as popular guitar at the renowned Escola Portátil de Música — Brazil’s top choro school. Over the years, I’ve performed on many of Rio de Janeiro’s most iconic stages and had the honor of sharing the stage with Brazilian legend Jorge Ben Jor. My passion is to share the richness and diversity of Brazilian music with students around the world.
