About Sophie
I am an enthusiastic piano tutor with 14 years of experience teaching students of all ages, including high school learners, college students, and adults. With more than 300 students taught, I have developed a teaching style that focuses on clarity, confidence-building, and steady improvement.
My teaching philosophy is to make learning simple, enjoyable, and meaningful. I believe that students progress best when they understand what they are doing, so I explain piano concepts in a clear and practical way. I teach technique, posture, sight-reading, rhythm, chords, and musical expression at a pace that matches each learner’s comfort.
I guide students through different styles of music and help them explore pieces they enjoy. I also prepare students for performances, exams, or personal goals. Over the years, I have seen many students achieve strong progress and surprise themselves with how quickly they improve.
I aim to create a supportive space where students feel encouraged and motivated. Whether someone is learning for fun or wants to reach advanced levels, I help them build confidence and develop a true love for the piano.

My teaching approach for Piano is based on clear communication, flexible methods, and practical learning experiences. I adjust my teaching to match the student’s learning style because everyone understands music differently. This helps me make lessons simple and enjoyable.
I also teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight-Reading, Chords, Finger Training, and Rhythm Patterns to help students build strong musical skills. I use real examples from everyday music and simple case studies from performances to explain concepts clearly.
I keep lessons structured but enjoyable, focusing on steady improvement and confidence building. My goal is to guide each student in a way that makes piano learning meaningful and fun.
