About Maria
Are you looking for a language course where you will not only learn but also have fun? Then you’re in luck! I work as a teacher for (general and business) English and since my move to Hannover also for German. I have already taught students aged from 6 to 76- including some who couldn’t speak a word of English when they started; others who spoke almost like natives; and of course lots who were somewhere between the two. Prior to this, I already had experience tutoring subjects including English, French and Maths. I am British but 13/14 years ago I started learning the beautiful French (and one year later the even more beautiful German) language, during which time I studied MFL for four years full-time at uni. As part of my degree course, I interned in a school in France (for 4 months) and as an au pair in Brussels (for 5 months) and after my studies I spent 16 months in the Belgian capital, where I spoke French on a daily basis. Thanks to my studies and my experiences in Germany and in French-speaking countries, I have attained the level C1 / C2 in both languages (although my French is currently a little better than my German).
