About Megann
Hi, I'm Megann! My interests include musical theatre, crochet, true crime documentaries, and above all else, literature! Due to this, I love helping fuel that passion within young people. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's in Criminology and Criminal Justice and am a qualified Secondary English Teacher I have been a Teaching Assistant for the past year in an SEN Primary setting so have a solid understanding of the core foundations of teaching, particularly English. I am qualified in BSL Level 1 and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).

I tailor my lessons to the needs of the student based on their strengths and weaknesses. If a student has a particular area that they would like to focus on with me then I will develop resources and lessons relating to this. Generally, my hour-long lessons are based on the practical application of skills such as textual analysis or recall-based activities such as revision cards/mind-map making. I aim to take a creative approach with my lessons as I understand that simply making notes can be rather boring. I have a BSc in Psychology and an MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice. I will be completing my SCITT in Secondary English as of September 2022. I have A-levels in Psychology, English and Photography, as well as 10 GCSEs including 1A* and 3 As.
