About Beth
My name is Bethany, but you can call me Beth!
I’m a university student studying Clinical Psychology, and my love for teaching is rooted in my belief that everyone deserves a safe and supportive space to grow.
I stay open to change and adapt my approach to each student, which shapes my personal and attentive teaching style. I believe life is meant to be enjoyed, so I work to make learning engaging and relaxed.
One of my favourite sayings is, ‘If at first you don’t succeed, pick yourself up and try again’ — and that’s something I always remind myself and my students of.

I teach with patience, using decoding, call-and-response, and interactive literacy games to build engagement and memorisation. Lessons follow the British Curriculum and typically last 1 hour (up to 2 hours if needed).
My warm personality and experience with mentorship aids in the strength I have in supporting children and thus their literacy development. My lessons are ideal for learners aged 5+ who have some familiarity with the English language and are able to focus during activities and sit still for short periods of time while we learn together!
