About Lara
Hey! With a First-Class degree from Goldsmiths, University of London and a professional background in media, communications. My writing and copywriting work has helped grow social media channels by tens of thousands of followers, with individual pieces of content reaching millions of views.
Alongside this, I have over two years of experience as a nanny to children aged 6 and 9, where I regularly support them with English homework, school-test preparation and creative writing. I've created my own writing activities to make English more engaging and encourage them to experiment with storytelling and develop their own ideas.
I’m a creative and enthusiastic person and really enjoy helping children build confidence in their abilities. I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, trying new things and finding their own voice in their writing.

I love how creative English can be, and my approach is about helping students find their own confidence and enjoyment in writing.
My lessons are relaxed, encouraging and tailored to the individual. I use students' own interests alongside creative writing exercises, storytelling, reading and discussion to make lessons engaging, while also supporting spelling, grammar, comprehension, homework and school-test preparation.
I have over two years' experience as a nanny to children aged 6 and 9, regularly supporting their English and creating activities to develop their confidence and creativity in writing. I also have a First-Class degree from Goldsmiths and professional experience in media, communications and content creation, where writing and storytelling are a big part of my work.
Lessons are typically one hour and are aimed at primary and secondary-school students. I'm particularly good with children who have lots of ideas but might need a little help turning them into writing they're proud of.
