About Laura
About Laura
In 2025, Laura set up her own independent art workshop business, Creative Club Brighton. This is led by a multidisciplinary artist and educator with a strong background in sustainable design, visual arts, and creative direction. With years of experience working across media, textiles, product design, and youth arts education, Creative Club Brighton is committed to inspiring creativity in people of all ages through accessible, engaging, and environmentally conscious art experiences.
Creative & Sustainable Design Expertise
Before launching Creative Club Brighton, Laura developed an extensive portfolio of innovative sustainable design projects and creative leadership work, including:
Designing the world’s first Vegan Barrister Hemp Wig, an recognised piece of sustainable design history.
Creating a hemp yoga-wear collection for The Green Room at the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow.
Speaking at TEDx for the global Countdown sustainability campaign.
Exhibiting sustainable products at Freedome, launched at the House of Lords.
Guest speaking at Barclays Eagle Labs and Brighton University, sharing insights on circular design and creative entrepreneurship with emerging designers and business founders.

Teaching & Workshop Experience
Alongside my design work, I have a wide range of teaching experience across age groups and creative disciplines:
Leading children’s art workshops for home ed students and holiday clubs.
Currently trained to teach GCSE and A-Level Art & Design, with a teaching specialism in Fashion, Business, and Art & Design.
Teaches a Sustainable Entrepreneurship to international students aged 9–17 at a summer school in Oxford.
Delivering creative sessions that adapt to each student's interests, needs, SEND requirements and abilities.
Qualifications
Laura holds a BA in Design from Goldsmiths, University of London, where I developed a strong foundation in contemporary artistic practice, research-led design, and conceptual thinking.
A teaching PGCE in Creative Teaching for FE (Further Education) from Brighton University

My creative approach allows my skills to be applied to teaching many different age groups. I am patient with my students and apply my knowledge and education to the areas in which they need support and confidence with.

- Basic set up tips including paperwork with companies houses, basic accountancy tips and how to set up an online website to sell product or services
- Adverting and marketing methods including target audience
- Digital marketing including tips on how to create social media calendars, create & schedule content
- Understanding data by developing data analytic skills
- Working with eco product design or commercial industrial design, looking at ethics and sustainability of material sourcing, supply chains and manufactures, working with partners around the world.
- Finance including understanding profit, loss, breakeven
- Funding availability and pitching skills
