About Sophie
As a tutor, my goal is to inspire confidence and create a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to succeed. With a strong academic background – a Double First in Natural Sciences, a PhD in Neuroscience, and now a final-year Medical Student at the University of Cambridge – I’m passionate about helping students achieve their potential, whether that’s mastering GCSE and A-level Biology, Chemistry, and Maths or excelling in Oxbridge applications. I bring an approachable and encouraging style to teaching, aiming to make even complex concepts clear and manageable while building long-term skills in critical thinking and problem-solving. Outside of academics, I’m a friendly and energetic person who enjoys running, cycling, and exploring the outdoors. Hi, I’m Sophie – a final-year Medical Student at the University of Cambridge. I also hold a Double First-Class degree in Natural Sciences and a PhD in Neuroscience, both from Cambridge. I tutor GCSE and A-level Biology, Chemistry, and Maths. My teaching approach is highly personalised: I adapt to each student’s strengths, encourage active problem-solving, and build both confidence and depth of understanding.
