About Michael
I graduated in Law from Cambridge in 2022 with a Double First Class Degree. From there, I taught a variety of subjects at GCSE and A-Level in schools, as well as consulting on Oxbridge applications, interviews and LNAT. I teach using a "consistent improvement" approach - there is always a way to improve, and this is the model that was taught to me during my time at Cambridge. Since leaving Cambridge, I appear before judges in family courts across the country representing applicants and respondents, but having enjoyed and succeeded in my own law degree, I wish to continue to tutor the subject privately. I have vast experience in teaching the Cambridge law tripos, as well as many other universities, including law at Oxford, LSE and Nottingham (and others). I can assist with understanding the content, providing cases, supporting with further reading/articles, and writing essays/answers to problem questions.

Many universities teach law in the wrong way: memorise rules and regurgitate them. The problem with this is that you can’t get a first class mark with this approach, and you can’t succeed in future training contract/pupillage applications with it, either. Law at undergraduate level is analytical and all based on precise, evidenced evaluation. This being said, if you are reaching out for SQE tutoring, the approach is different. I can adapt to either approach, having achieved a double first at Cambridge and a grade 1 (highest quintile) at SQE just through self-studying (not a preparatory course).

Michael helped me to apply for Law at the University of Cambridge. He provided me a full year long support plan with comprehensive reading and research so that I could put through the best possible application. I then got my interview through, which he prepared me for to the point I am now a student at Cambridge and have been told my interview was one of the best they had seen. I couldn’t have done it without him.
Michael’s intelligent and structured way of delivering both LNAT and Oxbridge Admissions work is second-to-none. Not only has he assisted many of my students get into these superior universities, many of them return to Michael for essay assistance once they start their undergraduate studies. I would profusely recommend him.
Michael helped me massively with my Cambridge admissions interview. He offered me tailored support, a seemingly unlimited amount of pre-reading tasks and recommended reading which he then also read just so we could discuss it. He really puts in the time, and he knows exactly what he is talking about. My interview then went amazingly and I was given an offer!
Michael has been, according to my daughter, ‘an absolute legend’ — genuinely dedicated to helping her reach her potential. He truly cares, offering consistent support, professional guidance and encouragement throughout the entire process. His commitment and expertise have made a real difference and we highly recommend him to any student preparing for the LNAT or applying to university.
