About Kate
I graduated Cambridge University in 2017 with a degree in English Literature and have been tutoring ever since! I also have a graduate diploma in Law.
In 2019, I was the head of English at the Tennis Avenue Academy wherein I taught year 4 through to GCSE. I also have experience with 11+, entrance exams, A-Levels and overall - have 7 years worth of tuition experience behind me!
Moreover, I'm always happy to take on students who are interested in applying to Oxbridge or other Russell Group Universities and help them with their application ideas and interview technique.
I have a friendly, encouraging approach and have worked with a lot of SEN students. I tailor my style and tasks to the pupil in question and am always happy to engage with parents so that we can achieve the best possible outcome for the pupil.

Before and since my time in the classroom, I have taught a wide range of pupils, specialising in the 11+ exams as well as GSCE and A-Level.
I love finding fun and creative ways of inspiring my pupils and tailor each lesson to the individual in question so that they can absorb the lesson to the best of their ability! I have SEN experience and am familiar with modern and classical texts as well as poetry and plays. I especially love teaching Shakespeare and breaking down the language for my pupils - as well as diving into the imagery, structure and character analysis!
