About Me:
Hi! I’m David, a student who has greatly benefitted from tutoring throughout his academic career. Although the credentials above might not suggest it, I actually used to struggle with Maths and Physics and only improved after I was tutored over the period of about a year in which I greatly improved and found my love for Maths and Physics. It’s precisely this highly positive experience that I have had that I hope to transmit to any students that I might now end up tutoring.

I run hour-long sessions for 11-18 year olds in which I prioritise understanding of topics, since in my experience this builds greater confidence than simply knowing how to do the questions.
I’ve previously tutored GCSE Maths weekly at St Mary’s Ukrainian School, giving 1.5 hour sessions for about 6 months, during which I helped three pupils I was tutoring biweekly go from a respective predicted 7, 6 and 7 in GCSE Maths to 9s, and all 3 said that if the tutoring weren't voluntary they would've happily paid for continued tuition.
I am comfortable teaching up to A level Further Maths and can also tutor for admissions tests such as the TMUA and MAT, having achieved 8.0 in my TMUA and also confident in exam technique for the MAT.

David was brilliant at helping me gain confidence in my subject - he really helped me with my Maths GCSE and his explanations were just so clear that I understood anything he was trying to tell me basically instantly. I felt like it was really worth my time having him explain the nuances in each question and not just brush over it with an applicable method like so many other people do - I was tutored for free but would happily have paid him money for his time because he was so helpful.
David is so friendly and his clarity of communication is outstanding - he helped me go from a C in A level Further Maths to a working grade of an A. He's so good at understanding the essence of a problem or concept and explaining it to me in a way that I understand! I would highly recommend him as a tutor.
