About Morris
I take a personalised and student-focused approach to tutoring. My aim is to understand how each student learns best and adapt my teaching style to suit their needs. I focus on developing a genuine understanding of the subject, not just memorising facts. In lessons, I combine clear explanations with active practice, discussion, and feedback to help students build confidence and independence. I often use a mix of past paper questions, problem-solving exercises, and real-world examples to make learning engaging and relevant. I also encourage students to reflect on their own thinking and identify areas for improvement — this helps them become more self-aware and resilient learners.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred and adaptive. I begin by assessing each student’s current level, learning style, and goals, then tailor my lessons accordingly. I focus on helping students develop a deep understanding of core concepts rather than rote memorisation, encouraging them to think critically and independently. I use a mix of explanations, guided practice, past paper questions, and discussion to reinforce learning. I also integrate active recall and spaced repetition techniques to build long-term retention. I encourage students to ask questions and articulate their reasoning, as this builds confidence and analytical skills. For more advanced students, I emphasise exam technique, time management, and problem-solving strategies. A standard lesson lasts 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs and attention span. Each session typically includes: I teach students aged 13–18 at GCSE, A-level, or university foundation level. I also support students preparing for Cambridge admissions tests and interviews, focusing on critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
