About Dimash
Hi, I’m Dimash. I have been studying Physics (along with Maths and other sciences) for over a decade, a subject I was first introduced to through Olympiads and fell in love with. I have won numerous awards and consequently was able to develop my expertise in the field.
My achievements:
Currently ranked 12th out ~500+ in my cohort
9.0/9.0 in the NSAA (NatSci admissions test before ESAT)
A* grades in Physics, Maths, and Further Maths
Gold Medal at APhO 2021
Silver Medal at IPhO 2021 and 2022
With over five years of tutoring experience, I have accumulated 1000+ teaching hours and taught 50+ students, including Olympiad participants, Oxbridge applicants and GCSE, A-level students.
I specialise in Maths and Physics and mainly work with high achieving students looking to grasp the subjects firmly or further their knowledge.
After having spent many years in these fields, I have a thorough understanding of fundamentals as well as complex theory in Classical Mechanics, Quantum Physics, 3D Calculus and more. I can confidently answer any questions my students may have about the subject and I encourage them to ask as understanding a topic fully requires eliminating any doubt or grey areas. My experience also allows me to teach how to recognise the pattern in certain types of questions and methods for how to solve them efficiently. This is particularly useful in time-based admissions tests (ESAT, TMUA), admissions interviews and Olympiads.

My main goal is to facilitate students' comprehension of complex concepts by deconstructing them into smaller, more manageable components, while also supporting them at their pace and developing their strengths.
My services include:

My lessons will be held in the following format:
1) Theory: “Practice without theory is blind”
I aim to help students navigate through the theory of the subject incorporating materials such as prepared notes, presentations, and documents.
2) Practice: “And Theory without practice is empty”
Hence, we will work through practice questions gathered from relevant sources (past exams, practice papers, etc) together. This will motivate knowledge application and reinforcement.
3) Reflection: The Feynman Technique says the best way to polish your study process is to explain the material yourself. This is my approach to encouraging students to find their weak areas and reflect on what they have learned. After which I will develop a plan for further lessons to address all questions and concerns.
Every session is modified to suit the needs of each individual. A session is expected to last approximately an hour, but may take longer depending on additional work or materials.

I’ve been really impressed with Mr. Dimash as my daughter Ana's A-Level math and physics teacher. He’s always punctual, organized, and makes complex concepts easier to understand. Ana’s progress has been great, and I highly recommend him!
Personally, I find my interactions with this tutor as only a pleasant experience. Throughout lessons, he presented himself as someone who truly cares about your progress. Even though it is expected from tutors, Dimash always prepares the material for lessons here.
