About Rishi
I am currently an undergraduate student in English at the University of Cambridge. My literary interests are broad-ranging, including texts from the Medieval Era to Shakespeare to Victorian Literature and right up to the modern day. In my GCSEs I scored 9 in English Language and A* in English Literature, and in Year 13 I received a D1 grade in English Pre-U, which is equivalent to an "A**" at A-level. I am familiar with many texts currently studied at GCSE and at similar levels, however, if I am not familiar with one of the texts you are studying, simply request it and I will bring myself up to speed.

My teaching focuses on evaluating a student's overall strengths and weaknesses in the subject and then putting texts and language under the microscope, demonstrating the techniques that are needed to read thoroughly and write clearly and accurately. Rather than just memorising and rote learning, I look to equip my students with the analytical tools they need to succeed in the classroom and the exam hall no matter what is thrown at them. Through fostering the skills needed, my students can not only succeed at their studies but also take these skills of close reading and structured argument forward in life, and nurture a passion for the subject along the way.
