About Binoy
I have PhD in mathematics from IIT Kanpur. After that, I have done couple of years of post-doctoral research in places in India and Switzerland. My expertise is in geometry, though I am competent in other areas of math also. I have also some expertise in neuroscience, general relativity and history of mathematics.

I give paramount importance to developing intuition in math teaching. For that, I will be concentrating on the concepts rather than specific results and problem-solving techniques. To appreciate the importance and relevance of a concept, I usually trace the history of the concept and emphasize its relation with other similar concepts. Once a concept is described and intuition is developed, I leave the students with related problems. I believe that problem-solving is a skill which the student needs to acquire with practice and a teacher has a minimum role in that process. The role of a math teacher is to give ideas, perspectives and not to act like a gym trainer who gives tips in problem-solving training.

He is the first person who showed me that math is not a bunch of nonsense rules but it is realistic, logical .. he has good skill to motivate and has clear understanding of the topic that he speak. Usual math teacher assume some pre requisites but he can explain any of his topics from the scratch.
