About Erik
With 9+ years of teaching and practical experience, I have helped many school and college students achieve success in trumpet playing. My passion for education comes from watching students improve their skills, overcome challenges, and become confident performers.
I teach breathing techniques, posture, embouchure, articulation, rhythm, tone quality, scales, music reading, ear training, music theory, and stage performance. My lessons are carefully structured to ensure students understand each concept before moving to the next level. I believe learning should always be enjoyable and stress-free.
Throughout my career, one of my proudest achievements has been helping students perform with confidence at school events, concerts, and examinations. Their progress inspires me to continue supporting learners with patience and enthusiasm.
I encourage students to stay positive, practise consistently, and never lose confidence when facing difficulties. My classroom is welcoming, supportive, and focused on helping students grow at their own pace.
Teaching is more than my profession—it is my passion. I strive to inspire students to become skilled musicians while developing confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for music.

My teaching methodology combines motivation, communication, integrity, and creativity to provide a complete trumpet learning experience. I believe lessons should be enjoyable, practical, and designed around each student's individual needs.
Motivation encourages students to stay confident and dedicated. I help students set goals, recognise progress, and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
Communication makes every lesson clear and effective. I explain techniques in simple English, demonstrate exercises, and encourage students to ask questions freely.
Integrity is an essential part of my teaching approach. I provide honest feedback, treat students with respect, and encourage commitment and responsibility.
Creativity brings excitement to trumpet learning. I use breathing exercises, tone-building activities, rhythm practice, articulation drills, improvisation, and performance exercises.
Besides trumpet, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm training, ensemble performance, beginner composition, and music appreciation. My aim is to help students become skilled and confident musicians.
