About Mahathi
With a strong foundation in Carnatic Classical Music and a deep passion for teaching, I am committed to providing students with structured, disciplined, and high-quality musical training. Having grown up in a family deeply connected with Classical Music and learning under experienced teachers, I have developed both strong musical knowledge and practical teaching exposure.
I have been awarded the Senior Certification in Carnatic Classical Music conducted by the Government of Karnataka and secured a State Rank in the examination. My teaching approach combines patience, proper guidance, and personalized attention to ensure that every student learns comfortably and progresses confidently.
I believe in creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where students not only learn music correctly but also develop confidence, discipline, creativity, and genuine love towards Carnatic Classical Music. Classes are conducted professionally, based on the student’s level and learning pace, with focus on strong fundamentals, regular practice, and steady improvement.

My teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals in Carnatic Classical Music through patient guidance, structured learning, and consistent practice methods. I believe that when students develop clarity in shruthi, swarasthana, rhythm, and voice control from the beginning, they gain confidence and progress naturally in their musical journey.
Classes are conducted in a simple, interactive, and student-friendly manner based on the student’s age, learning pace, and level of understanding. A typical class includes revision of previous lessons, practice exercises, introduction to new concepts, guided singing, and personalized corrections to help students improve steadily.
For beginner-level students, the focus will mainly be on developing strong basics, proper voice culture, discipline in practice, and understanding of Carnatic fundamentals. Along with Classical Music, devotional songs are also taught in an enjoyable and easy-to-learn manner.
For intermediate and advanced-level students, classes additionally focus on Manodharma concepts such as raga alapana, swara singing, improvisation techniques, and deeper musical understanding.
My classes are intended for school children, college students, adults, beginners, and anyone who is passionate about learning and experiencing the beauty of Carnatic Classical Music.
