About Kaylee

As a Communicative Disorders Assistant student with three years of tutoring experience and a strong background in literacy, communication, and behavior support, I bring a calm, structured, and student-centered approach to every session. My experience in clinical, school, and IBI settings has taught me how to adapt instruction to each learner’s needs while keeping sessions engaging, supportive, and confidence-building.
I use evidence-based strategies, clear explanations, and step-by-step guidance to help students truly understand what they’re learning—not just memorize it. Whether I’m supporting early readers, strengthening writing skills, or helping students with diverse learning profiles, my focus is always on creating a positive, encouraging environment where students feel capable and motivated.
Families can expect professionalism, strong communication, and consistent progress monitoring. I take pride in being reliable, organized, and fully committed to helping students reach their goals while building skills that last far beyond our sessions.

My teaching approach blends evidence-based literacy instruction, communication-supportive strategies, and behavioral principles drawn from my clinical and school-based experience. I focus on clarity, structure, and individualized support so every student feels capable and engaged.

My core techniques include:
• Explicit, structured instruction with clear modeling and step-by-step demonstrations
• Scaffolding and cueing strategies such as visuals, first-letter cues, think-alouds, and guided practice
• Data-driven decision making, using progress tracking to adjust instruction
• Positive reinforcement to build confidence and motivation
• Adaptability for students with autism, ADHD, speech/language needs, or behavioral challenges
• Collaborative communication with families to support consistency across environments
