About Nick
My formal qualifications are mostly in music, which I also teach. However I did take the CELTA qualification and used to teach on a part time basis in a British Council Accredited language college where I was assigned as one of the designated IELTS teachers. I still teach IELTS on a private basis online and it is one of my favourite areas of TEFL to teach.

I focus entirely on what the student needs. I know the IELTS exam and what the examiners are looking for. I take a view of how much lesson time the student wants and how I can help them get the most extra marks from their time learning with me. Often there will be more of an emphasis on the writing and speaking components of the exam as this tends to be what many students struggle with.
I've built up a wealth of resources from teaching IELTS and use materials from a variety of textbooks and other sources to help the student be as prepared as possible to take the exam. I also rely heavily on past examination papers as this is simply the best way to prepare for what IELTS is going to ask you to do.
