About Courtney

I am a certified elementary teacher with 7 years of classroom experience, primarily in 2nd grade, and I have taught students from PreK through 6th grade. I have also taught in integrated co-teaching classrooms, giving me valuable experience supporting students with IEPs and a variety of learning disabilities. I specialize in primary math strategies, phonics using the Science of Reading, and literacy comprehension. My goal is to create supportive, engaging lessons that build confidence, close learning gaps, and help every student succeed.

About the lesson

My lessons follow an "I do, we do, you do" teaching format to guide students step by step toward independence. I use a variety of tools including manipulatives, skill cards, crafts games and technology to make learning hands-on, engaging and tailored to each child's needs.
