About Rosanne
I am a Certified Elementary Learning Support BC Teacher with Certification in Reading Recovery and a University Diploma in Special Education. I have a Bachelor of Education Degree in Secondary English and Visual Art, a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Visual Arts, and am qualified to teach Kindergarten to grade 12. I have over ten years of excellent teaching experience with English Language Learners, children with ASD, attention issues, FASD, Learning Disabilites, and Physical Disabilities.
I am able to effectively tutor and teach your child from my home to yours using face-to-face technology (Zoom, Teams, etc.) I have access to many online learning programs and activities I can integrate into remote lessons to make them engaging and fun!

I am able to work one-on-one with your child to accelerate their learning to read and write. I will conduct a full reading and writing assessment with them prior to lessons officially beginning. Depending on lesson length, each lesson your child will read instructional-leveled books, engage in word-work using both phonics and whole language strategies as needed, build on known writing skills to create written messages, and engage in a new book. I will consistently make observations and track your child's learning and progression.
Should your child require help with homework, I am able to work remotely with them at times best suited to your family to ensure their understanding, work together on their assigned work, and provide brain breaks and fun activities as needed to keep them excited about learning!
