About Jialing
I am from Taiwan with bachelor degree of Chinese literature and master degree of teaching Chinese as a second language. After graduation, I have taught Chinese in colleges in the US, Germany and Taiwan and accumulated excellent teaching methods. I can teach simplified and traditional Chinese characters and various classes: literature class to Chinese language learners; language classes with popular textbooks used in colleges; language classes with dramas, movies and YouTube videos, and I am always willing to customize classes for each students.

I always have PPT in my class. I listed all grammar points and vocabulary with characters and Pinyin on slides in order to help my students learn language usages in clear contents. During classes, I prefer giving clear but short lectures and explanations first and then moving to various QAs, tasks, activities to allow my students practice what they have learned. I love to integrate culture elements into my language class, so I use not only textbooks, but also use YouTube videos, songs, and even memes to inspire my students and encourage more discussions about cultural issues.
