About Olusola Olaitan
I am a resourceful, self-motivated, and sociable chemical, environmental and materials engineer. I owned broad expertise in waste management and plastic waste management, process modeling and economics, water and wastewater treatment, nanotechnology, catalysis, and renewable energy and in teaching/researching. I am a goal-orientated engineer, detailed, multitask and target driven. I have strong analytical, interpersonal, excellent communication and managerial skills. My skill set is a perfect match for the job requirements. For example, I owned B.Eng., MTech., and PhD, all in Chemical Engineering. I am someone who believes in raising others and therefore I am so interested in teaching and this I have demonstrated when I recently supervised 22 chemical engineering diploma students who could not get placement in the industries to carry out their internship.

In my 6 years of teaching, researching, and tutoring, I have taught, and mentored undergraduate students and am currently co-supervising postgraduate students at the department of Chemical Engineering in the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. I have over the years developed exceptional skills to encourage students’ participation in class through careful organization of teaching materials and engaging attitude. In my class, I believe all students should contribute to the learning process, and it has really helped me. As part of my teaching style, I have submitted book chapters with my students which are under-review. I am an instructor who believes that everyone has his/her uniqueness which reflects in his/her learning processes. Students can come from different educational background, social, and cultural up-brings. However, all these students aim at achieving similar things, which are academic knowledge and certificate, be it degree, or diploma. Therefore, it is my responsibility as an instructor to have this in my mind and to try to help these individuals in achieving their goals and bringing out the best in them regardless of their backgrounds.
