About Selin
I hold a PhD in Physical Chemistry and have 12 years of teaching experience. My interest in chemistry began with a fascination for the invisible processes that shape materials and reactions. Over the years, I have enjoyed helping students discover that chemistry can be both understandable and rewarding.
My teaching approach combines patience, structure, and encouragement. I believe students learn best when they understand the reasoning behind concepts rather than relying on memorisation alone. Lessons are adjusted to suit different learning styles and levels of experience.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring scientific literature and following advances in chemical research. Staying engaged with the subject helps me bring fresh ideas into lessons. Supporting students as they grow into confident and capable learners remains one of the most fulfilling parts of my career.

My chemistry lessons are built around understanding how substances behave, interact, and transform. Students explore topics such as atomic structure, chemical equations, periodic trends, bonding, and reaction processes through simple explanations and guided learning. I focus on helping learners see connections between concepts rather than treating topics as separate pieces of information.
Every lesson is adapted to the student's learning needs and academic goals. Beginners strengthen their foundation through clear instruction and steady practice, while advanced learners work on calculations, analytical questions, and deeper scientific reasoning. Regular feedback helps students improve accuracy and confidence over time.
I create a learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring ideas and asking questions. Chemistry becomes easier when concepts are explained logically and practised consistently. My goal is to help learners build strong understanding, improve performance, and develop confidence in their scientific abilities.
