About Addison
I am a Chemistry tutor with more than 3 years of experience and an MSc in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry. My focus is analytical chemistry, helping students navigate complex lab techniques with clarity. I specialize in chromatography, including HPLC, GC, and TLC, teaching students to understand separation principles, retention behavior, and data interpretation. Spectroscopy is a key area as well, where I assist learners in analyzing NMR spectra, IR peaks, and UV–Vis transitions to deduce molecular structure. Titrations are another focus, where I emphasize endpoint accuracy, proper handling of reagents, and reproducible results. I also guide students in experimental design, including planning procedures, controlling variables, and creating reliable methods. Data analysis is central to my teaching; I help students calculate concentrations, construct calibration curves, and assess uncertainty. I have supported chemistry lab students as well as individuals pursuing research or quality assurance roles. Lessons include method validation, quality control, and proper documentation practices. I aim to make complex techniques understandable while promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills. My students learn to plan, perform, and interpret experiments confidently.
