About Kiara
I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 5 years of experience and hold an MSc in Environmental Chemistry. My teaching focuses on the fascinating chemistry behind electroplating and surface finishing. I take an interdisciplinary approach, connecting electrochemical theory with real-world applications in materials science and industry. In my lessons, we explore electrochemical deposition, electrode kinetics, and the role of bath composition in achieving high-quality coatings. I also help students understand how material properties change through surface treatments, and why these changes matter. From decorative finishes to corrosion-resistant layers, we examine both aesthetics and function. I’ve worked closely with students interested in materials engineering, applied chemistry, and industrial manufacturing. I use practical examples and case studies to make learning both clear and engaging. My goal is to help students develop strong conceptual foundations while seeing the bigger picture of chemical applications.
