About Akan
I am a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Lagos State University of Science and Technology. I am a certified chess instructor with 7 years of teaching experience. I have taught over 500 children chess across Nigeria and outside Nigeria (through Zoom+lichess). Many of my students have medals to show for their prowess in chess.

I teach in a fun and interactive manner. I engage learners to seek their opinion on certain reasoning methods. I also break down levels of teaching for learners to have a good foundation of topics. I believe learners should get in-depth knowledge rather than rushing topics.
