About Barbara
My Jazz training previously formed part of the curriculum at Laine Theatre Arts and The Wilkes Academy while I also taught at Bird College, Performers, Elmhurst and The Hammond School. In my professional career I have choreographed Ballet to Street and Opera and I will bring this expertise to my feedback to all students, balancing technical accuracy with artistic quality.
With over 20 years' experience as a Director working alongside stars of the UK entertainment industry I recognise the need for clear, concise and constructive observations from a professional source.
My new ZBo dance musical launches in London in 2027, combining dance fusion, rap and storytelling. The Z Bo Jackson Company launched at ATG's Manchester Palace Theatre with a Gala hosted by Kimberly Wyatt and featuring Birmingham Royal Ballet's soloist Brandon Lawrence and BGT's Hip Hop finalists Flawless.

My name is Barbara Evans and I am a Director/Choreographer and Jazz specialist. Over the years I have combined dance education with my theatre work to create a system of training that is cohesive with industry practices. This industry knowledge combines with my dance pedagogy in which I developed training for dancers which highlights Transferable Technique (TT) and Evidence Based Progression (EBP).
I aim to utilise EBP by offering feedback that guides development and celebrates the dancer's unique individuality.
Dancers may send a video and I will offer detailed video or written feedback.
This service is aimed at students, teachers and young dancers with a minimum age of 12 years.
As dance continues to evolve into the 21st Century I am passionate in supporting the next generation of dancers and teachers on their development journey.
