About Kai
I am a student of classical and archaeological studies currently undertaking my dissertation on Athenian civilisation in the 5th Century Bc. I primarily study the people of Greco-Roman society including their thought processes, philosophies and experiences in the ancient world, essentially revealing who these people were and what life was like for them within the great establishments of ‘Rome’ or ‘Athens’.

I generally base my classes around theme, although I find that working chronologically through a period not only establishes a clear image of the time in the student’s mind, but also enables them to understand the causes of an event and grasp the fluid nature of history. I generally teach undergraduates (gcse, a-level and first years) and anyone with an interest in the classics, mythology, ancient Greece and Rome.
